Dry Chlorine Gas Compression |

Dry Chlorine Gas Compression Most of chlorine gas production processes operate at atmospheric pressure. Before the chlorine gas can be liquified for transport and storage, it must firstly be cooled, dried and finally compressed.Because wet chlorine is corrosive, before compression it must be dried firstly to a water content of less than 50 ppm. This is not easy, since chlorine is highly hygroscopic. The answer is a Tsurumi liquid ring compressor using concentrated sulphuric acid as service liquid. To decrease the shaft leakage of chlorine gas and to keep the long time reliable operation, Tsurumi uses the innovated compulsory recirculating service liquid technology. For Tsurumi ANC liquid ring compressor, dry chlorine gas compression is one of the best applications.
