1924 Started
manufacturing of irrigation pumps at the machinery division
of Tsurumi Shokai Company.
1954 Started
manufacturing of submersible water pumps. Received Governor’s
Award of Osaka Prefecture for the development of submersible
pumps.
1976 Established
H&E Tsurumi Pump Co. Ltd. in Hong Kong.
1978 Established
Tsurumi (Singapore) Pte.Ltd. in Singapore.
1979
1979 Established Tsurumi (America), Inc. in Chicago,
U.S.A.
1983 Tsurumi
(Europe) GmbH has been established in Düsseldorf, Germany.
1990 Listed
on the first section of both Tokyo and Osaka Stock Exchange
Market.
1994 Completed
the advanced computer integrated manufacturing plant
in Kyoto (present Kyoto Plant).
1995 Obtained
ISO-9001 at Kyoto Plant.
1997 Completed
new 7-story Headquarters Building in Osaka.
2000 Obtained
ISO-14001 at Kyoto Plant.
2001 Obtained
ISO-14001 at Osaka Headquarters and major branches.

Awamura History
Jul 1938: Established as a specialized
pump manufacturer in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture.
Jul 1960: Registered as a construction
firm with the Ministry of Construction.
Oct 1963: Listed on the Osaka Stock
Exchange(capital: 120 million yen)
Aug 1972: Granted a permit for 'Construction
and Installation of Machinery and Instrumentation' (Special-47,
No.72) for special construction projects. (This permit
was later renewed.)
Jun 1973: Concluded a 10-year technical
cooperate agreement with the West German company Siemen
& Hinsch GmbH (SIHI) for liquid ring vacuum pumps
and gas ejectors.
Nov 1991: Received pipe construction
permit(Special-3,No.72)from the Ministry of Construction.
Aug 1992: Received plumbing construction
permit(Special-4,No.72)from the Ministry of Construction.
Aug 1997: Received plumbing construction
permit(Special-9,No.72)from the Ministry of Construction.
Oct 1997: ISO 9001 certification received
by the Yonago Operations Center.
Oct 2001: ISO 9001:2000 certification
received by the Sales Head Quarters.
Dec 2003: Established China Joint
Venture : Awamura Vacuum Engineering (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd.
Dec 2004: Acquired by Tsurumi Manufacturing
